Faglig præsentation
Research interests lie mainly within the field of contemporary childrens literature (mostly 1968-1998). I have been studying the relationship between childrens literature and cultural change. But my main concern is the interrelationship between cultural and national identity and national landscape (both physical and imaginary), and the role of heritage and nostalgia in the formation of identity. The transmission of folk tales, fairy tales and Norse mythology through childrens books is also of great interest to me particularly when combined with landscape representation.
I am also a children's books author and translator.
