Representatives

The Network for Children and Culture consists of a secretariat and representatives from a range of external state institutions.    

Network for Children and Culture is the minister of culture’s and the Ministry of Culture’s advisory body in relation to children and culture. Network for Children and Culture was established by minister of culture, Brian Mikkelsen, in 2002 and today consists apart from the Ministry of Culture of the Danish Film Institute, the Heritage Agency of Denmark, the Danish Arts Council/Arts Agency, Danish Agency for Libraries and Media, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration and the Ministry of Children and Education.

The Danish Agency for Culture 

The Danish Agency for Culture is a fusion between 3 former agencies under the Ministry of culture: Danish Agency for Libraries and Media, The Danish art agency and the Heritage agency of Denmark. The agency's vision is to strengthen the collaboration between art, cultural heritage, libraries and media.

The Danish Film Institute is the government body responsible for implementing public policy regarding Danish films and cinema culture.

DFI operations extend from participation in the development and production of feature films, short and documentary films, over distribution and marketing, to managing the national film archive and the cinematheque.

The ministry's mission is to create world class education programmes. The vision is that Danish educational institutions must offer programmes of high quality at all levels regardless of academic, personal or social backgrounds.

Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration was established on October 3rd 2011 and is responsible for the central administration of the Danish social security and benefits system. The Ministry is responsible for marginalised children and youth.
